MMMMM spam, as ugly as it is unappetizing. I am not sure if it is flattering or not for unwanted messages to be named after your canned luncheon “*meat”.

*Disclaimer: the author uses the term meat loosely

I want work.

You write?

I want to write.

This is just a small sample of the spam messages I have received on Fiverr. At first, I thought nothing of these messages as Fiverr has buyers and sellers from all around the world.

But July has been crazy. New members signing up and spamming sellers trying to sell their services.

Why stop at a big mistake when, with just a little effort, you can make it epic.

I guarantee these 10 previously unreleased secrets that I am about to reveal will take your mistakes to the next level.

Now, without further ado, here is a listicle for all-you-list aficionados.

10. If at first, you succeed, try, try again.

Got it right the first time? Don’t let some minor success slow…

Don’t forget to write a witty as fuck subtitle.

Ugliness is in the eye of the beholder.

Nothing like a solid 22% read ratio to boost the morale and get the creative juices flowing. Over 1K views and a staggering 245 reads.

Mind-blowing, actually.

Now don’t get me wrong, the article was a longer one at 8 minutes and the topic for most was painfully boring but still…

7 Lessons from the Deloitte 2021 Global Marketing Trends Report

It was a well-written article summarizing some key lessons from an 80-page report released by Deloitte. …

That means to own everything, all the good, the bad, and the ugly.

“Grow the hell up and take responsibility for yourself and who you are now. No, you can’t change how they raised you. What you can change, however, is how you choose to move forward in your life. Only you get to decide who you are now, so stop blaming everyone else for your poor choices.”

The above quote was the most highlighted item in my article 5 Things I Wish Someone Had Told Me While Living the Life of an Addict published by the good folks over at the Ascent publication.

To put this quote into perspective, it was the…

Let me help you, help me, help you… oh, who fucking cares.

Almost no one reads an article unless it’s glaringly clear that the author wrote the entire article word for word just for them. Even if the article is heartfelt, well-written, and gut-wrenching, most will pass it by.

The article could be so chock-full of fabulous life lessons just ripe for the picking, but heaven fucking forbid if the author so much as makes the story at all about them.

If you didn’t name your article;

“Hey, Dave You Fucking Alcoholic… These 6 Tips are Just for Your and Your Greedy as Fuck Ass so That You Can Quit Drinking, be…

I just dropped a delete bomb on my Medium reading list.

Over the course of a few months spanning from mid-Jan to Apr 11, I slowly built this reading list from the ground up. Each article at some point in time held some value for me.

  1. An article I wanted to read but had no time (either for education or mere enjoyment).
  2. An article I wanted to keep for future reference because something within it caught my attention.
  3. An article I wanted to use as the inspiration for a future article.

100% honest truth, I never have the time, nor…

It was just enough to keep me from going under.

What would you do if you woke up one day and realized you had just wasted 17 years of your life?

17 years wasted.

17 fucking years wasted.

From the age of 25 to the age of 42, I was an addict. Well, I am still an addict…

As the old saying goes; once an addict, always an addict.

The difference is, now I am in control, not my addiction. …

Daughter? Hello Daughter! Are you there?
I can’t see you anymore, I’ve looked everywhere.
You just graduated from school, still living at home.
But when I try to see you, I feel all alone.
Your mom and I split so long ago.
It was for the best, as I’m sure you well know.
But now you are spending more time with her.
The time now stands still. Life to now was a blur.
Never expected the day when you would just drop.
Me for your mother, how will I make this pain stop.
I try to stand tall, keeping on a brave face.
As soon as you leave, it’s quickly replaced.

It’s Nice to Meet You

April 11, 2021, is the date when I published my last article on Medium. Tomorrow is July 11…

A lot has happened here on Medium since April 11, 2021, as everyone is well aware but I never felt the draw to come back. Even as I read emails and articles about bonuses being paid out I stayed away… until today.

Why? Because I had nothing worth saying.

At first, when people asked me why I stopped writing on Medium I said;

“Oh, I am too busy with work.”

“I am too busy with my ghostwriting.”

But the reality is…
